What a tournament needs, and nothing more
Féile stores organisers, team managers, fixtures and results. It holds no information about players.
Féile holds no information about players. Running a tournament needs organisers, team managers, fixtures and results — so that is what it stores. Nobody’s child is in the database.
What is stored
If you organise
- Your email address, used to sign you in. There is no password — signing in sends a link to your email.
- Your club’s name, and the names and email addresses of anyone you invite to help organise or keep score.
- The tournaments you create: name, dates, venues, pitches, age group, format, and the contact details you choose to publish on the tournament’s page.
- Any schedule sheet or document you upload.
If you enter a team
- The club and team name.
- The team manager’s name, and their phone number and email address if given, so the organiser can reach them about fixtures.
- Whether the entry is confirmed and whether an entry fee has been paid. Payments themselves are not taken through the app.
Once it is running
- Fixtures, kick-off times, pitch allocations, scores and standings.
What is public
A tournament has a public page so players, parents and clubs can follow it without an account. That page shows the fixtures, times, pitches, team names, scores and standings, along with whatever contact details the organiser chose to publish. Manager phone numbers and email addresses are not shown publicly — they are visible to the organising club.
Who else processes it
- Supabase hosts the database, the sign-in system and the server-side functions. Everything described above is stored there.
- Anthropic is used only when you ask the app to read a schedule or a group draw from a sheet you have uploaded, and when you use the AI organiser. The content of that request is sent to Anthropic’s API to be turned into fixtures. Nothing else in your tournament is sent.
As with any website, the servers that deliver it keep standard logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time — which the hosting provider records automatically. There is no analytics service, no advertising network, and no tracking of any kind.
How long it is kept
[retention period] Deleting a tournament removes its teams, fixtures, standings and documents with it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Organisers can delete their own account from within the app, which removes the account and the clubs it owns. For anything else — including if you entered a team and want the manager details removed — get in touch and it will be dealt with within one month.
Children
Féile is used to run youth tournaments, but it is a tool for the adults running them. It holds no names, dates of birth or any other personal information about players. A team is recorded as a club and a team name, with an adult manager as the contact.
